  • Who are Hidenda and how do they work?

Hidenda are a specialist claims management company focusing on reclaiming mis-sold PPI. Hidenda work on a no-win-no-fee* basis which, in a nutshell, means if you don't get a refund (no-win) they will not charge you (no-fee).

If there is PPI on any credit agreements you have taken, irrespective of whether they are paid off or current — which we can now find out without the need for account or policy numbers — then there's every chance we can get you a full refund. All you need to supply is the name of the lender and the address you were at at the time of taking the credit agreement. Even if you are unsure as to whether you have taken PPI we strongly advise you to make a claim as we can now find out for certain if you do. Furthermore you will only be charged our fee if we get you a successful refund, so there really is absolutely no reason for you not to do this, unless you want the banks to keep the money which could be rightfully yours.

The only points we ask you to check before making a claim with Hidenda are the following:

    • you have not previously tried to claim back the mis-sold PPI for the relevant lender, either by yourself or through another claims management company;
    • if you know for certain that you have taken a PPI policy, the fact that you have never made use of it, by which we mean claimed money on the policy, is very important because if you have it will mean it wasn't actually mis-sold.

    * If you cancel on request after 14 days then you may be subject to a cancellation charge (see our Terms and Conditions)

  • I would like a claims pack to start my PPI claims

To download and print a full pack for you or someone else that wants us to make a claim for them.

Please open all 5 PDF files below and print each one out. You need one copy of the 'Letter of Engagement', 'Instructions', 'Terms & Conditions of Contract' and 'Questionnaire' forms. You will need to print out two 'Letter of Authority' forms for each lender you want us to investigate mis-sold PPI with on your behelf - eg. if you think you had PPI with Barclays, Lloyds and Halifax please print out and fill in six 'Letter of Authority' forms. The reason we need two forms per lender is that we first need to perform a full data subject access request (DSAR) to get all your mis-sold PPI from the lender which will require the first Letter of Authority, then once we have that we will make the necessary claims that will require the other Letter of Authority.

When you have printed out and filled in all forms you require (remembering to sign and date where appropriate) put them in an envelope and simply write 'FREEPOST HIDENDA' on the front. No stamp or address details are required. Your forms will then be delivered to our head office to process and begin the claim process for you.

If you have other lenders you haven't already told us about but want us to investigate mis-sold PPI with them on your behalf.

Print out two 'Letter of Authority' forms for each new lender you want us to investigate mis-sold PPI with on your behelf - eg. if you think you might have additional PPI with Barclays and Lloyds please print four new 'Letter of Authority' forms, fill them in remembering to sign and date each one. The reason we need two forms per lender is that we first need to perform a full data subject access request (DSAR) to get all your mis-sold PPI from the lender which will require the first Letter of Authority, then once we have that we will make the necessary claims that will require the other Letter of Authority.

No additional address details are required. Your forms will then be delivered to us to process and begin the claim process for you.

    Forms to download:

If you are unable to print these forms because you do not have a printer, you can make a request for Hidenda to send these to you. To do this, simply leave a message with your request in the ‘Your Feedback’ area below making sure to state which forms it is that you require.

If you do decide to print and post them yourself you can return these to us using the 'Hidenda Freepost' service. To use this service simply write the words 'FREEPOST HIDENDA' on the front of a plain envelope and post back to us. You do not need to write any other address details and no stamp is required. This will be received by our head office.

    • I am unsure what to fill in

If you are ever in any doubt, or cannot find some of the information being asked for, our advice is always to fill in what you can, but most importantly remember to sign and date every signature and date box so that we can investigate all possible PPI claims.

It is very important to remember that on each Letter of Authority please make sure you always include the name of the lender and the address you were at at the time of taking the credit agreement if is different to your current address. Also if you have any joint accounts you want to investigate, the Letter of Authority must be signed by both people.

The instruction sheet on how to complete your claims pack as well as how to return it to Hidenda, can be found here.

    • I don't know what my account numbers are

We do not need your account numbers, so do not worry about trying to find them. All we need to know is who your bank/lender is, which you fill in on your Letter of Authority. Return two Letter of Authority forms to us for each bank/lender you wish to claim against, along with a completed Letter of Engagement and Mis-sold PPI Questionnaire. We will go to your bank and perform a data subject access request (DSAR) which will return all account numbers and indicate where PPI exists so we can then reclaim all that you are owed.

    • I cannot find all the information being asked for on the forms

If you are ever in any doubt, or cannot find some of the information being asked for, our advice is always to fill in what you can, but most importantly remember to sign and date every signature and date box so that we can investigate all possible PPI claims.

    • Why is there so much information being asked for on different forms?

To start your mis-sold PPI claims there are three different kinds of forms required:

      • We need to have one signed and dated Letter of Engagement. This is the contract between Hidenda and you meaning we can work on your behalf.
      • We then need Letter of Authority forms. These represent your instructions to your bank/lender stating that you want us to act on your behalf. We need two Letter of Authority forms for each bank/lender you wish us to make a claim against for you. We will use one Letter of Authority for making a full data subject access request (DSAR) to establish what claims you have then the other Letter of Authority to submit the claims.
      • Finally we need to have one completed questionnaire where you can indicate why you feel PPI was mis-sold to you.
  • How to send information back to Hidenda in the post

To post anything you need to Hidenda you can simply use the 'Hidenda Freepost' service. To do this simply place your items in a plane envelope and write 'FREEPOST HIDENDA' on the front. No stamp or any additional address details are required. Place the envelope in the post and it will be delivered to our head office on a second class basis.

NB. The Freepost Hidenda service only applies if you are in the UK. If you are overseas the Freepost service will not work for you so please post them to the address below and pay the relevant postage.
